is there an easier way to put beads on thread for jewelry making?

Please tell me an easier way to put beads on the thread when it comes to making necklaces or bracelets. More experienced people, please share ideas on how I can better by designs. Especially with earrings. Thank you very very much in advance.
It’s not thread. I’m using bead stringing wire w/ Austrian crystals & assorted glass beads. Looking for a quicker easier way to thread other than doing it by hand.

Are you really using thread? We use tigertail and soft-flex wire for bracelets and necklaces. For earrings we use gold-filled wire. I can’t remember what gauge we use but it’s about $10 for 3 feet.

I’ve always used a needle, if you’re talking about seed beads that is. The trick is to make sure that the beads will fit over the eye of the needle. I believe there may be needles made specially for this purpose.

I hate to tell you but it is done one bead at the time, by hand. Sorry.

With seed beads you can start with a saucer full and scoop you needle into the beads and it will pick up a needle full all by itself, but with larger beads that doesn’t work too well.

there are threader machines, sorry I don’t know where to get one at the moment.

if you wish to do it by hand try using a needle.

well, a faster ways for the beads is to tie a needle to the string, load the needle with several beads and then slide the beads down onto the string. obviously the longer the needle, the more beads you can get on at one time.

Some people dip the thread in clear nail varnish to give it a stiff end. to make threading beads easier You will need to do a few threads and let them dry.

You could also try some very thin fuse wire for ear rings.

I’m quite experienced in this so i’m sure this will help.
use tigers tail wire, its quite a stiff wire so you can pick the beads up with the wire and not your hand.
Or, take a beading needle if you’re using cotton:

Thread the needle into the cotton, make the cotton into a loop (your needle will be in the loop). Now use the needle to pick up all the beads.
what kind of materieal do you use for earrings? i use the eye-pins and head-pins mostly, and you can creat very pretty earrings & necklace pendants with thoses pins, you’ll find them in any bead shop, just ask for ‘beading eye-pins or head-pins.’

NB: if you’re threading seed beads, a beading needle will be compulsory, otherwise it might break the glass seed beads.
I’m sure it’ll help. Also, go to http://www.youtube.com and search for ‘Karla Kam Beading Videos’ She has excellent lessons for all beading stuff!!!
